Connect
Google Ads to
Claude Code
- Can this run every Monday?
https://mcp.lemonado.io/mcpPull Google Ads data into your repo with Claude Code: query it, save it as CSV and check your UTMs against live campaigns. Lemonado connects them in about 1 minute, no API keys needed.
https://mcp.lemonado.io/mcpWhy connect Google Ads to Claude Code?
Claude Code works where your tracking code and reporting scripts live, so it can do what a chat can't: compare live Google Ads campaign names with the UTMs in your landing pages, and save clean data into the project.

texthttps://mcp.lemonado.io/mcp - 3
Add the server
With Claude Code installed, run one of these in your terminal. Most people want the first: it adds Lemonado to every project.
bash# every project (recommended) claude mcp add --scope user --transport http lemonado https://mcp.lemonado.io/mcp # this project only claude mcp add --transport http lemonado https://mcp.lemonado.io/mcp - 4
Sign in
Start Claude Code with claude and run /mcp. Choose Lemonado and finish the sign-in in your browser.
bashclaude /mcp - 5
Ask Claude Code about Google Ads
Ask a question about the accounts your connection can reach. Claude Code can also write the numbers into a file or a script for you. Try "Write a prompt file that pulls last week's Google Ads spend and conversions by campaign and saves reports/google-ads-weekly.md. I'll run it with claude -p." Or ask: "Which terms keep wasting spend?" or "Do our UTMs match?"
Good to know
- The command uses Claude Code's default local scope. Use --scope user to share the server across projects.
What can Claude Code do with Google Ads?
Claude Code queries your Google Ads data while it works in your repo: it saves data as files, checks tracking against code and runs headless with claude -p.
Write a prompt file that pulls last week's Google Ads spend and conversions by campaign and saves reports/google-ads-weekly.md. I'll run it with claude -p.
Saved prompts/google-ads-weekly.md. Run claude -p with it from cron and Claude Code writes the report with that week's numbers each time.

Write the SQL that finds search terms with spend and no conversions in the last 30 days, run it, and save it as queries/wasted_terms.sql.
Saved and run: 41 terms, $6,840. The query groups by search term and filters to zero conversions, so you can rerun it any time.

Check the UTM campaign values in our landing page links against the live Google Ads campaign names. List the ones that don't match.
4 of 31 don't match. "spring_tents" in /lp/tents.tsx points to a campaign renamed "Tents | Spring" in March, so its clicks land unattributed.

Pull daily spend and conversions by campaign for the last 90 days and save it as data/google_ads_daily.csv.
Saved 1,260 rows to data/google_ads_daily.csv: date, campaign, spend, clicks, conversions. Spend totals $84,210, matching the account.

Which campaigns run out of budget before lunch on weekdays?

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Claude Code's headless mode (claude -p) uses the MCP servers you've added, so a cron job or CI step can ask for last week's Google Ads numbers and write the report to a file. Lemonado handles the Google sign-in, so there's no developer token in your repo.
You can. Google publishes an open-source Google Ads MCP server (googleads/google-ads-mcp on GitHub). It's free and read-only, but it runs locally or on your own Cloud Run and needs a Google Cloud project with OAuth credentials. In Claude Code that means setting up the Cloud project, credentials and Python yourself. Lemonado is one URL with a normal Google sign-in, and also covers your other channels.
Run claude mcp list to see whether lemonado is connected. If it needs authentication, run /mcp inside Claude Code and sign in again. In Lemonado, check that Google Ads is connected and External tools is on for the company. If you sign in with a manager (MCC) account, ask about a client account by name: the data sits in the client accounts, not the manager.
Yes, if both are connected in Lemonado. One connection reaches every source you allow, so you can ask things like "Put Google Ads spend next to Stripe revenue by week for the last quarter."
MCP is included in Lemonado's paid plans and in the free trial, so you can try it before you pay.
