Why connect Google Ads to Claude?

Claude is good at reasoning through messy data, but on its own it has never seen your Google Ads account. Connected through Lemonado, it reads your live campaigns and search terms, groups the waste into negative keyword themes and turns the result into an artifact you can share.

  • Your whole Google Ads account

Campaigns, ad groups, ads and assets, ready to ask about.

  • Always today's numbers

Performance Max asset groups, synced from Google Ads automatically, so answers use today's numbers.

  • Connect all your tools

Questions like "What's our real ROAS?" use Google Ads and Meta Ads, GA4 at once.

  5. 5

Sign in and turn it on

Approve access in the Lemonado window. Back in Claude, open a new chat and switch Lemonado on from the connectors menu.

  6. 6

    Ask Claude about Google Ads

Try "Find search terms that spent over $50 with no conversions in the last 30 days, group them into themes and make an artifact with a negatives list I can review." Or ask: "Where is spend wasted?" or "What does brand search cost?"

Good to know

  • Custom connectors work on Claude Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. Free accounts can add one.
  • On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds the connector first under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web. Members then connect their own accounts.
  • Remote connectors belong to your Claude account, so the same connection shows up in Claude Desktop and Cowork. Requests come from Anthropic's cloud, not your computer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Lemonado is a remote connector, so it follows your Claude account into Claude Desktop and Cowork. Google's own Google Ads MCP server runs locally, so in Claude Desktop it needs Python, a config file and a developer token.

Not easily. Google publishes an open-source Google Ads MCP server (googleads/google-ads-mcp on GitHub). It's free and read-only, but it runs locally or on your own Cloud Run and needs a Google Cloud project with OAuth credentials. Claude needs a remote server, so you'd have to host it yourself. Lemonado is already hosted: add one URL and sign in.

In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and check that Lemonado says Connected, then switch it on from the connectors menu in the chat. In Lemonado, check that Google Ads is connected and External tools is on for the company. If you sign in with a manager (MCC) account, ask about a client account by name: the data sits in the client accounts, not the manager.

Yes, if both are connected in Lemonado. One connection reaches every source you allow, so you can ask things like "Put Google Ads spend next to Stripe revenue by week for the last quarter."

Use one MCP server that reaches both. Google and Meta each publish their own server, but each covers one platform, and Google's runs locally. Lemonado connects Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4 and 3,000+ other tools through one URL that works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients, so you can compare channels in one question.

MCP is included in Lemonado's paid plans and in the free trial, so you can try it before you pay.
