Is there an official Google Ads MCP server?

Yes. Google publishes an open-source Google Ads MCP server (googleads/google-ads-mcp on GitHub). It's free and read-only, but it runs locally or on your own Cloud Run and needs a Google Cloud project with OAuth credentials.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

No. You connect Google Ads to Lemonado with a normal Google sign-in, and Lemonado handles the API access. You only need a developer token if you run Google's own MCP server yourself.

Connect your Google Ads account in Lemonado, turn on External tools, and add Lemonado to Claude or ChatGPT. Each guide on this page has the exact steps. If you use a manager (MCC) account, choose the client accounts you want, not only the manager. Then ask something like "Which search terms spent over $100 last month without a single conversion? Group them into negative keyword themes."

Yes. It's a standard remote MCP server (https://mcp.lemonado.io/mcp): one command in Claude Code, one entry in Cursor's mcp.json, and an MCP Client Tool with a Lemonado token in n8n. In a coding agent, try "Check the UTM campaign values in our landing page links against the live Google Ads campaign names. List the ones that don't match."

Yes. Besides answering in Claude or ChatGPT, Lemonado runs Google Ads reports and alerts on a schedule, in Slack or email. For example: "Every morning, list search terms that spent over $50 with no conversions in the last 14 days and suggest negatives."

Both. It reads your Google Ads data and can add negative keywords or pause a campaign once you approve. You choose which actions are on, and whether each one asks first.

Use one MCP server that reaches both. Google and Meta each publish their own server, but each covers one platform, and Google's runs locally. Lemonado connects Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4 and 3,000+ other tools through one URL that works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients, so you can compare channels in one question.

It depends on the job. Google's own AI (Smart Bidding, AI Max) optimizes bids and matching inside Google Ads. For the work around it, like finding wasted search terms, adding negatives and comparing Google with your other channels, Lemonado connects Google Ads to Claude, ChatGPT or its own AI, and can make changes such as pausing a campaign once you approve them.

Lemonado. Connect your ad accounts once, including Google Ads, then ask in the Lemonado app, in Slack, or in Claude and ChatGPT through its MCP server. Answers come from your live data in Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4 and 3,000+ other tools.

Lemonado Routines. Describe the alert once, for example "post in #ads when cost per purchase goes 30% over the 7-day average", and Lemonado checks on a schedule and posts in Slack with the campaign behind the jump.

MCP is included in Lemonado's paid plans and in the free trial, so you can try it before you pay.
