Why connect HubSpot to Codex?
Codex runs in your terminal, its IDE extension and scripts, so what it finds once can be rerun with codex exec instead of redone by hand. Connected through Lemonado, it reads your HubSpot contacts, deals, companies and lifecycle stages, so it can work out cost per deal by channel with today's numbers.
All your HubSpot data
Contacts and their original source, ready to ask about.
Always today's numbers
Deals, pipelines, stages and amounts, synced from HubSpot automatically, so answers use today's numbers.
Connect all your tools
Questions like "What does a deal cost?" use HubSpot and LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads at once.
How to connect HubSpot to Codex
Before you start
- A HubSpot account you can sign in to
- Codex installed
- A Lemonado account (the free trial works)
- 1
Connect HubSpot in Lemonado
In Lemonado, open Connectors, find HubSpot and sign in. Sign in with a HubSpot user that can see contacts and deals, then pick the account if you have more than one.
- 2
Turn on external access
In the company's settings, open External tools, turn the connection on, choose which sources it can reach and copy the server URL.
texthttps://mcp.lemonado.io/mcp - 3
Add Lemonado to your config
Add this to ~/.codex/config.toml.
toml[mcp_servers.lemonado] url = "https://mcp.lemonado.io/mcp" - 4
Log in
Run the login command and finish the sign-in in your browser.
bashcodex mcp login lemonado - 5
Ask Codex about HubSpot
Run codex mcp list, or /mcp inside Codex, to see the server and its tools. Try "Pull last week's HubSpot numbers, save them to data/hubspot-weekly.csv and give me the codex exec command to refresh it." Or ask: "How long does each stage take?" or "Do form fields reach HubSpot?"
What can Codex do with HubSpot?
Codex reads your HubSpot data from your terminal and turns one-off questions into commands you can rerun with codex exec.
Pull last week's HubSpot numbers, save them to data/hubspot-weekly.csv and give me the codex exec command to refresh it.
Saved data/hubspot-weekly.csv. Run the same prompt with codex exec in a scheduled job and the file refreshes with each week's numbers.

Write and run the SQL for average days between lifecycle stages by original source, and save it as queries/stage_timing.sql.
Saved and run. Organic search leads reach SQL in 6 days on average, paid search in 13. The query reruns for any date range.

Check the hidden UTM fields in our signup form code against the HubSpot contact properties they should fill. Which ones arrive empty?
utm_content is sent as utm-content in forms/signup.tsx, so the HubSpot property stays empty on 100% of contacts since August.

Save HubSpot contacts created this year with original source, lifecycle stage and any won deal amount as data/hubspot_funnel.csv.
Saved 6,420 contacts. 412 have a won deal, worth $1.9M in total. Paid social has the most contacts with no lifecycle stage set.

Where in the funnel do our MQLs stall? Show conversion and average days at each stage.
MQL to SQL is the weak step: 18% convert, and the ones that do take 11 days. SQL to closed-won is healthy at 31%.

Yes. HubSpot's official MCP server is hosted, so Codex can use it too. It covers HubSpot only. Lemonado covers HubSpot plus your ad platforms, GA4 and the rest of your stack in one connection, so Codex can answer questions across them.
Run codex mcp list. If lemonado shows as not logged in, run codex mcp login lemonado again. In Lemonado, check that HubSpot is connected and External tools is on for the company. If deals or contacts are missing, check your HubSpot user's permissions. HubSpot only shares records that user can view.
Yes, if both are connected in Lemonado. One connection reaches every source you allow, so you can ask things like "Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads spend next to HubSpot deals created and won, by campaign, last quarter."
