Why connect Shopify to Cursor?
Cursor's agent already sees your theme, checkout extensions and tracking code. Add Lemonado and it can compare them with real Shopify orders, so a broken purchase event shows up as a fix in the code, not a gap in next month's ROAS.
All your Shopify data
Orders, line items and refunds, ready to ask about.
Always today's numbers
Customers, first and repeat orders, synced from Shopify automatically, so answers use today's numbers.
Connect all your tools
Questions like "What's our real ROAS?" use Shopify and Meta Ads, Klaviyo at once.

json{ "mcpServers": { "lemonado": { "url": "https://mcp.lemonado.io/mcp" } } } - 5
Sign in
Cursor asks you to sign in to Lemonado. Approve access, then ask the agent about your data.
- 6
Ask Cursor about Shopify
Try "Compare Shopify orders last month with the purchase events our theme sends to GA4 and Meta. Find where in the code they go missing." Or ask: "Does the cart send the right value?" or "Which page templates sell?"
Good to know
- Editing the file directly avoids relying on menu labels that change between Cursor versions.
What can Cursor do with Shopify?
Cursor's agent reads your Shopify data while it edits: it fills components with real data, checks tracking code and writes the analysis next to your code.
Compare Shopify orders last month with the purchase events our theme sends to GA4 and Meta. Find where in the code they go missing.
GA4 is 12% short. The purchase event in thank-you.liquid doesn't fire for Shop Pay orders that skip the page. Meta double counts refreshed thank-you pages.

Check the add-to-cart event in our theme code. Does the value it sends match the Shopify price, including discounts?
No. cart.js sends the compare-at price, so add-to-cart values in Meta are 18% too high on sale items.

Compare Shopify orders by landing page with the templates in our theme. Which template converts best?
Product pages on product.alt.liquid convert at 3.1% vs 2.2% on the default template. The difference is the size guide above the fold.

We changed the checkout extension on Oct 14. Did Shopify orders or AOV change after that date?
Orders held steady, but AOV fell from $121 to $109. The new extension hides the free-shipping threshold message.

Revenue was down last week. Was it fewer orders or smaller orders?
Fewer orders: down 14%, while AOV held at $118. The drop was all in jackets, which went out of stock on Tuesday.

Ad spend divided by first-time Shopify customers, by month.
$41 in August, $52 in September. New customer orders fell while Meta spend held flat.

Yes. With Lemonado in Cursor's mcp.json, the agent can look up real orders while it edits Liquid files or checkout extensions, so you can check a tracking fix against what Shopify recorded the same day.
Not for store data. Shopify's own MCP servers do other jobs: Dev MCP helps developers search Shopify's docs and APIs, and Storefront MCP lets shopping assistants browse a store's public products and cart. Neither gives Claude or ChatGPT your orders, revenue and customers. Lemonado gives Cursor your orders and customers, next to your ad spend.
Open Cursor's settings and find lemonado in the MCP list. A red dot or a sign-in prompt means the login expired. Restart Cursor after editing mcp.json. In Lemonado, check that Shopify is connected and External tools is on for the company. If orders look short, check you connected the right store and that your staff account can view orders. Shopify only shares what that account can see.
Yes, if both are connected in Lemonado. One connection reaches every source you allow, so you can ask things like "Put Meta and Google Ads spend next to Shopify revenue by week for the last quarter."
MCP is included in Lemonado's paid plans and in the free trial, so you can try it before you pay.
