Why connect Instagram to VS Code (GitHub Copilot)?

Copilot's agent mode can call MCP tools inside your workspace, so it can read live numbers while it edits code and docs. Connected through Lemonado, it reads your Instagram reels, saves, reach and follows, so it can pick posts to turn into ads with today's numbers.

  • All your Instagram data

Posts and reels, ready to ask about.

  • Always today's numbers

Profile visits and follows, synced from Instagram automatically, so answers use today's numbers.

  • Connect all your tools

Questions like "Do organic winners work as ads?" use Instagram and Meta Ads, TikTok Ads at once.

    Trust and sign in

Accept the trust prompt and sign in to Lemonado. Turn the tools on under Chat: Open Customizations → Tools.

  6. 6

Ask VS Code (GitHub Copilot) about Instagram

Try "Update the table in docs/kpis.md with last month's Instagram numbers and add one line on what changed." Or ask: "What did we skip posting?" or "When should posts go out?"

Good to know

  • The older .vscode/mcp.json format still works for the local harness, but VS Code now marks that destination as deprecated. It uses a servers key with type http and the same URL.

What can VS Code (GitHub Copilot) do with Instagram?

Copilot reads your Instagram data in agent mode and works the numbers into your code, docs and notebooks in the workspace you have open.
