Motion vs
Foreplay vs
Atria
The main difference is the job each was built for. Motion reports on your own ads across Meta, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn, from $999 a month, priced by ad spend. Foreplay is for research, swipe files and briefs, from $49 a month. Atria combines research, AI-made image ads and analysis for Meta and TikTok only, with a free plan.

The key differences
Six points decide it for most teams. The edge goes to whichever tool comes out ahead on that point.
Price
Foreplay starts at $49 a month and never charges by ad spend. Atria has a free plan, then $129 a month on its current yearly promo. Motion starts at $999 a month for up to $50,000 in monthly spend, and many comparison pages still show its old $250 price.
Research and swipe files
Foreplay is built around saving and finding ads. Its Chrome extension has 257 ratings and 20,000 users on the Chrome Web Store, and Spyder tracks competitors around the clock. Atria's library is large too, but only covers Meta and TikTok.
Reporting on your own ads
Motion started as creative reporting, covers four ad platforms and is built for whole teams with unlimited seats. Foreplay Lens and Atria Radar both report on Meta and TikTok only.
Making new ads
Atria's agent, Raya, turns a winning ad or a product page into new image ads. Motion's Runneth can build static ads. Foreplay writes scripts and storyboards but does not make ads. None of the three makes video, and reviewers say Atria's images can look artificial.
AI that works with you
All three connect to Claude and ChatGPT over MCP. Motion's Runneth and Atria's Raya also work in Slack, sending reports and answering questions. Foreplay has no in-app AI chat.
Using two together
Foreplay and Motion are the pair most often used together: Foreplay for research and briefs before launch, Motion for analysis after. Atria pitches itself as the one tool that replaces both.
One tool for research and analysis: what Lemonado does
Many teams pay for Foreplay to research and Motion to report. Lemonado's Creatives does both, on every major ad platform, and next to the spend and CPA data the rest of the team uses.
See why your winners win
Hook scores, fatigue and head-to-head comparisons for every ad on Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest and Snapchat, in one view. Ask "why did this ad beat the others?" and get the hooks, angles and formats behind it.
Read your competitors, not just their ads
Find any brand's ads and pin them to a board. Lemonado reads across all of them: the hooks, angles, offers, who is on camera and the gaps you could own.
Catch fatigue before CPA moves
A routine watches frequency and hook rate on every live ad and flags the ones wearing out in Slack, with what to test next.
Brief with proof
Turn what you found into a brief, or share a board with the team or the client by link, with comments.

Motion vs Foreplay vs Atria pricing
Three different models. Motion charges by your ad spend, Foreplay charges a flat plan price, and Atria charges by plan with limits on seats, ad accounts and AI credits.
LemonadoPricing: One monthly plan with unlimited seats. Credits pay for the AI work, not for each source or account. Try it free for 10 days with $150 in credits, no card. See plans
MotionPricing: Starter $999/mo (up to $50K monthly ad spend) · Pro and Growth, custom · verified November 2026
ForeplayPricing: Basic $49/mo (billed yearly; $59/mo billed monthly) · Workflow $149/mo (billed yearly; $175/mo billed monthly) · Agency $389/mo (billed yearly; $459/mo billed monthly) · Enterprise, custom · verified November 2026

A worked example: a brand spending $40,000 a month on Meta and TikTok, with a team of five. Motion is Starter at $999 a month, with unlimited seats. Foreplay is Workflow at $149 a month billed yearly, which covers 5 users, competitor tracking and Lens for one brand. Atria is Core at $129 a month on its yearly Black Friday promo, or $219 at list price, for 5 seats and 5 ad accounts.
At $60,000 a month in spend, Motion moves to Pro, which is a custom quote. Foreplay and Atria do not change.
On Lemonado, research and analysis come in one plan with unlimited seats, so you do not need Foreplay and Motion side by side, and the price does not grow with your ad spend. It covers Google, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Snapchat too. See plans
